President / CEO, John Montazeri, has been in the sand & gravel business since he was 15 years old and working alongside his father, Mort Montazeri, the founder of Best Rock. Best Rock is one of the leading local quality producers of sand & gravel aggregates, supplying many well known concrete ready mix and asphalt producing companies. John has experience in all aspects of the business, from Operations, to Permitting, to Marketing. John obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from California State University at Northridge and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University.

Vice President / CFO, Mo Montazeri, has over 30 years of experience in producing sand & gravel, concrete and asphalt, and in road construction. Mo excels in all areas of the business, especially the technical, engineering, and financial aspects.

Together, John and Mo have made Western Materials a strong, well-managed family company dedicated to meeting the needs of our Community, Vendors, Employees and Customers.
